From the age of eight, Anusha studied Violin attaining her AMEB Grade 6 certificate in 2011, and had a keen interests in drama and acting all the while singing for fun around the house. However, it was only after her music teacher pushed her into singing in class that she discovered the beauty of story-telling through song – and a passion for musical theatre was born!

This led Anusha to obtain a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Studies at the University of New South Wales and to have a career in social justice, working for organisations that supported refugees, Aboriginal Australians and other marginalised groups in society.
In 2022 Anusha was honoured to be able to pursue her life-long dream a performing arts career by studying at NIDA. While at NIDA, Anusha trained in singing with Anne-Maree MacDonald and Phillip Quast. She also trained in Jazz and Tap with Daniel Dolling, Acrobatics with Troy Honeysett, Ballet with Cathie Goss and Voice and Accent work with Laura Farrell. Anusha has also had the opportunity to work with industry leaders such as Jay James-Moody and Imara Savage.
