Bronte Tonks is a versatile Australian triple threat performer. She has studied at many highly regarded institutions in Sydney including: The Academy of Music and Performing Arts where she obtained a Bachelor of Music (Performance) Majoring in Musical Theatre, Theatre Bridge with Nathan M.Wright and Andrew Bevis, Screenwise and Anthony Meindl's Acting Workshops.
Her most recent musical theatre credits include the role of Cinderella in “Into the Woods” with Bankstown Theatre Company (BTC). Previously she played Ariel Moore in “Footloose” (BTC), Jane Fairfax in “Emma” (Ruby Productions), Kathy Selden in “Singin’ in the Rain” (RMS) and Margot in “Legally Blonde” (AMS) to name a few.
Bronte has appeared in numerous short films for graduate schools such as AFTRS and AFTT, which have been submitted to multiple film festivals around the country.
As a singer she co-wrote and released her own song “I Love The Way” with Spotify as well as a music video on YouTube which she co-choreographed and edited. Her vocal abilities have also led to being the voice of the opening credits on “My Greek Odyssey” on Seven Network.
Behind the scenes Bronte has begun to work as a choreographer. Her most recent project being the short film “Disco Jones”. Her next endeavor in this field is choreographing the musical “We Will Rock You” with Bankstown Theatre Company hitting the stage in April 2024.
