ISHA DESAI

Isha Desai is an Indian Australian music theatre performer, who graduated with a Diploma of Musical Theatre from WAAPA (2022). Her roles at WAAPA include Ms Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone’ and writer/performer in the original cabaret ‘The Quarter’ about POC experiences in music theatre. Isha also trained with Shaun Rennie at The Hub Studio and the Young Actors Studio at NIDA. 

 

Recent credits include Jay in new Australian work ‘Dreamrunners’ (2023), Woolworths ECOM ‘My Way’ campaign (2023) and performing in a rising star cabaret at Claire’s Kitchen. Most recently, she portrayed Nemo Newman in The Disappearance’ (LHE Productions). Isha studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Sydney and is passionate about exploring the intersection of politics and theatre. She loves Australian work, political theatre and stories that represent the messiness and complexities of what it means to be human.
