Isha Desai is an Indian Australian actor based in Sydney. She was seen most recently playing Maya in Urvi Went to An All Girls School on ABC. Her other screen credits include Broke Actor Web Series (NOAH Films), Subtle Outcry (AFTRS) and national commercials for Woolworths and Spotify.
Isha recently led Good Time Theatrics’ Awakening, an adaptation of Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind in the role of Wendla Bergman. In 2025, she appeared on stage in Definitely NOT A Hungry Game as RUE for the Sydney Fringe Festival at the Eternity Playhouse. Other theatre credits include Francine in Jersey Boys (Willoughby Theatre Company), Ms Tottendale in the Drowsy Chaperone (WAAPA) and Alia in Strokes, a new work presented by Slanted Theatre in collaboration with the National Theatre of Parramatta.
Isha is a graduate from the Diploma of Musical Theatre at WAAPA and has studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Sydney. She is passionate about exploring the intersection of politics and theatre.
