Julia Savage is one of Australia’s most sought-after young actors. Her astonishing feature film debut at the age of 13 in the lead role in Del Kathryn Barton’s Blaze opposite Simon Baker and Yael Stone received unanimous critical acclaim and saw her nominated for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Award for Best Leading Actress in a feature film in 2022.
Julia appears with Emily Browning in the 2023 all-female comedy series Class of '07 for Matchbox Pictures (Universal International Studios)/Amazon Studios/Prime, and alongside Guy Pearce, Kate Mulvany and Miranda Otto in the eight-part psychological thriller The Clearing directed by Jeffrey Walker (Young Rock) and Gracie Otto (Heartbreak High) for Disney+. In 2021 she appeared as Phoebe in the final series of cult FX crime series Mr Inbetween.
Other TV credits include the crime drama Dead Lucky, International Emmy award-winning children’s series Hardball, Doctor, Doctor/The Heart Guy and the mini-series Mary – Making of a Princess.
Julia’s short film credits include the award-winning shorts Sherbert Rosencrantz, You’re Beautiful and historical fantasy Sweet Tooth, narrated by Cate Blanchett; horror-short The Familiars with Milly Alcock and ABC TV comedy documentary The Funny Ones (2017).
In 2025 she will with Teresa Palmer and Jim Sturgess in the highly-anticipated Irish-Australian BINGE co-production Mix Tape (2024) produced by Aquarius Films/Subotica.
