Originally hailing from Brisbane, Lara began her training at the age of 2 at The Premier Dance Academy, where she trained in a variety of dance styles and completed the RAD Ballet syllabus. She then went on to complete a Diploma of Musical Theatre at Queensland College of Dance alongside her upper-secondary school studies before graduating in 2022 and moving to Sydney.
Lara completed her fulltime training at Brent Street under the guidance of Ellen Simpson and Ryan Sheppard and graduated in 2024 with a Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance). Upon graduating, Lara appeared in Well Done Creative’s production of Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn as an Onstage Intern in the Ensemble (Hayes Theatre Co in association with Well Done Creative & Brent Street).
Lara's training continued throughout 2025 as a part of Nathan M Wright and Andrew Bevis' TheatreBridge program, Danielle Evrat's 'Come Swing With Me' swing training program, and Rob Guest Endowment's audition workshops.
Most recently, Lara performed in Woodward Production's 'A Very Naughty Christmas' as 'Toy Soldier' in Brisbane (2025).
Lara has also worked in film and TV, currently appearing in Sanatarium's 'UP&GO Protein' TVC for their 'Stronger Together' campaign.
