SERYAN BURKE-LOW

(She/Her)

Born and raised in Taree, Seryan started her training at the age of 3, where she attended Andrea Rowsell Academy of Dance. In 2014, she made the move to Sydney on Scholarship to Village Nation, where she completed the remainder of her schooling, and an additional two years of full-time training.

During those two years, she completed her Cert. IV in Dance Teaching and Management, and her Diploma of Musical Theatre.

Over the years, mentors such as Jacqui Howard, Leah Howard, Matt Lee, Andrew Bevis, and many more of the industry’s well-respected creatives, have had an immense impact on her growth as a multi-faceted artist.

Seryan made her professional musical theatre debut in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for TML Enterprises, as a swing and Assistant Dance Captain. During her time on the show, she was given the opportunity to work alongside the Australian and UK creative teams, where she later shared the responsibility of teaching the choreography to the Sydney children’s cast. She was also entrusted with assisting Thern Reynolds and Paula McKinnon for the children’s performance at the 2023 Gold Dinner fundraising gala, at Sydney’s Town Hall.

Most recently, Seryan has joined the 50th Anniversary Australian tour of The Rocky Horror Show (Crossroads Live), as an on-stage swing, starring Jason Donovan as ‘Frank-N-Furter’.

Other credits include Dance Captain and Host in Warner Brothers’ Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration, dancer and assistant to Nathan M. Wright for the 2022 Australian Business Awards, and back-up dancer for Baker Boy at the 2021 AACTA Awards, as well as assisting Leah Howard for various Sydney Mardi Gras performances. She was also featured in the ‘Appliances Online’ advertisement campaign, both in print and on screen.

Seryan aspires to continue working in musical theatre throughout the years to come, with the hopes of one day transitioning into a creative role.
